## Symptoms

- * A "`Connection with <Security gateway name> is lost`" error message appears below the device information in SmartConsole.

* The "`cpstat`" command fails with "`Failed to establish session with AMON server at 127.0.0.1:18192`".

* The "`cpd_admin list`" command returns `amon` as an add-on:

  Dll Name: **97?Ys??Stext.so**   
  Constructor: register_amon_addon  
  Destructor: deregister_amon_addon  
  Enabled: yes  
  Dll Module: N/A  
  Dll Version: N/A  
  Dll Build: N/A  
  Dll Configuration: N/A

## Cause

There is a corrupted `amon `entry in the registry:  

: (amon  
:"Dll Name" (97?Ys??Stext.so)  
:"AddOn Constructor" (register_amon_addon)  
:"AddOn Destructor" (deregister_amon_addon)  
:Enabled ("\[4\]1")
