## Symptoms

- The VPN tunnel does not come up when the user tries to configure the connection between SMB appliances and CloudGaurd Connect (CGC) using dynamic IPs or FQDNs.

<br />

## Cause

Out of the box SMB appliances only support dynamic IP authentication using certificates, and Harmony Connect only supports dynamic IP authentication using FQDN and pre-shared-key.

<br />

## Solution

This feature is currently not supported.

If you have an alternative device which supports IPSec and authentication using FQDN and pre-shared key, use the "generic instructions".
