## Symptoms

- "Bounced" log status for emails in BCC mode.

<br />

## Cause

When a Security Gateway / SandBlast is configured as MTA in BCC mode, it will not forward e-mails to the mail server.

When a Next Hop IPv4 address 0.0.0.0 is configured, a log with a "Delivered" status is expected.

A different status might indicate a problem in the configuration.

A "Bounced" status appears when the following is seen in a maillog:

**Example** :

# grep -i \<ID of the e-mail from the log\> maillog\*
.
.
.
maillog: Sandblast postfix/smtp\[13111\]: 4917Q222H5zSRSd: to=\<example@bcc.cp\>, relay=0.0.0.0\[0.0.0.0\]:25, delay=0.05, delays=0.05/0/0/0, dsn=5.4.6, status=bounced (mail for \[0.0.0.0\] loops back to myself)
