## Symptoms

- * Major version upgrade with CPUSE fails on the Multi-Domain Management Server / Multi-Domain Log Server and reverts to the original version.

* The upgrade log file */opt/CPInstLog/install_Major_\<New_Version\>.log* shows:

  ```
  
  Importing MDS configuration to destination
  Failed on importing MDS settings to destination
  ------ Reverting Back: ------
  ```

* Output of the "`cplic print`" command on the server (in the main "`mdsenv`" context) is empty.

## Cause

There is no license installed on the server (neither a trial, nor an evaluation, nor a permanent license).
