# sk165738 - Unable to remove Check Point CloudGuard (vSEC) Service from Security Management with error "Failed to delete service instance" for NSX-V

## Symptoms

- * Unable to remove Check Point CloudGuard (vSEC) Service from Security Management.
* When trying to use the VSR (service registration bundle from [sk111060](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk111060)), the user may get the following error in `vsec_config` or `cloudgaurd_config` when deleting old vSEC Service   
  Failed to delete service instance   
  Failed to delete Service Instance.   
  Service Removal FAILED. Please correct the error(s) and try again until the operation succeeds
* `vsec_config.elg` from Security Management shows the following error   
  DEBUG \[main\] (RestRequest.java:7) - Error details: The object service-24 (referred by Service Instance Check Point vSEC Service-GlobalInstance) is in use, this operation cannot be performed. Remove all configuration referring to this object and retry operation.

## Cause

VMware vCentre and NSX manager databases still have references to the Check Point vSEC Service registration that blocks removal.
