Introduction {#Introduction}
----------------------------
AutoUpdater is a Check Point process responsible for automatic updates.
The latest updates are automatically installed on all relevant Check Point servers if the user enables Automatic Updates Download, as described in [sk175504](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk175504) (section 2-B).
To see what Take of AutoUpdater was installed automatically, run in Expert mode:
`autoupdatercli show auto_updater`
Users who do not allow automatic updates can install the AutoUpdater as described below.
Manual Installation and Availability {#Manual Installation}
-----------------------------------------------------------
1. **Install the Deployment Installer**:
1. Download the latest Take of the AutoUpdater Deployment Installer and copy it to your Check Point server.

2. Run this command in Expert mode on your Check Point server:
* On the Management Server / Log Server / SmartEvent Server / Security Gateway / each Cluster Member:
`autoupdatercli install
//Check_Point_Deployment_Installer_Bundle_T_AutoUpdate.tar`
* On the Scalable Platform Security Group:
`g_all autoupdatercli install //Check_Point_Deployment_Installer_Bundle_T_AutoUpdate.tar`
**Note:** The installation does not require `cpstop;cpstart`, or a reboot. No further action is required. The update will be applied immediately.
3. **Install the AutoUpdater:**
1. Download the latest AutoUpdater offline package from the table below and copy it to your Check Point server.

To list the installed AutoUpdater product components, run this command on the relevant Check Point server where AutoUpdater is installed:
`cat /opt/AutoUpdater/productsConfig/products_config.xml | grep "Component name=" `
This command parses the XML configuration file to show all AutoUpdater components.
To list the installed AutoUpdater product bundles, run this command in Expert mode on the relevant Check Point server where AutoUpdater is installed:
`cpinfo -y all`
This command provides detailed information about installed software bundles and hotfixes.
