# sk165372 - "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE" Blue Screen Of Death after uninstalling Full Disk Encryption blade

## Symptoms

- * Uninstallation of the Endpoint Security Client from a machine that is encrypted with Full Disk Encryption resulted with "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE" Blue Screen Of Death.

* Issue occurs on encrypted machines which Windows 10 OS was upgraded to a newer build version.

## Cause

After Full Disk Encryption uninstallation there is a left-over in a registry key for filter-drivers. The 'prot_2k' driver is not removed from the key-value.  
This is because after the Windows upgrade, the registry key-value changes from *'prot_2k'* to '*Prot_2k* ' ('P' letter changes from lower case to upper case) and the removal code is case-sensitive.
