# sk165233 - Uninstall of hotfix is stuck at 7%

## Symptoms

- * When attempting to uninstall a hotfix via CLISH it gets stuck at "Uninstalling: 7%", for example:

* Checking the uninstall log file (with 'cat /opt/CPInstLog/uninstall_\<hotfix name\>.log') you will notice it is stuck at \*\*\* ACTION 2 \*\*\* when this issue happens. For example:

## Cause

During 'Action 2' of the uninstall phase the script will attempt to stop the check point services (ie: mdsstop) in the background. If for some reason this is interrupted by a hung service or lack of resources the script will **not** return with a *"command completed successfully (returned 0)"* and move to the next action.
