# sk165123 - Wi-Fi channel does not change automatically as result of deterioration of channel quality

## Symptoms

- When the quality of the WiFi channel deteriorates, as the result of other appliances using the same channel, or of physical interference, the Check Point appliance does not automatically select a new channel.

## Cause

When the WiFi is first turned on or during boot, when the channel selection is set to automatic, the best channel in terms of quality is selected. This mechanism does not function during operation.
