## Symptoms

- The FWD process is down on the Security Management server and the debug output (`TDERROR_ALL_ALL=5 fwd -n -d >& fwd_debug.txt`) shows:   

`CPPRODIS_init_error_logging_ex: initialized error logging for product 'FW1' application 'fwd'. Log file is not set.`

## Cause

The *fw.log* file is corrupted.
