- * VPND keeps restarting with no usermode core dump crash file
* Issue was seen several times in post-upgrade environments, or after changing the number of CoreXL instances.
* *vpnd.elg* file shows similar messages:

  \[ 31257\]\[12 Oct 13:46:15\]\[SESSION_MANAGER_POOL_C_API\] \[CVPN_ERROR\] create_new_session_manager: Faild to crate session manager for session owner: (vpnd)  
  \[ 31257\]\[12 Oct 13:46:15\]\[\] Session manager failed to initialize  
  \[ 31257\]\[12 Oct 13:46:15\]\[\] Failed to initialize Session IS: No such file or directory  
  \[ 31257\]\[12 Oct 13:46:15\]\[\] atexit_handler called

## Cause

Two possible causes for VPND not starting or continually exiting.  

1. The value of :isEnabled for database_conf is set to "true" in sessionIS.C file.
2. Corruption occurred during upgrade or jumbo installation.
