## Solution

### Overview

This article describes how to deploy a Check Point Security Gateway or a Check Point Security Management Server into IBM Cloud's BYOA environment.

The Bring Your Own Gateway Appliance solution allows you to deploy a bare-metal Gateway inside IBM Cloud with no operating system pre-installed.

Check Point software can then be installed on top of the bare-metal device to provide the same level of security and functionality as other Check Point deployments.

IBM Cloud provides 1G and 10G network interface functionality for their deployments.
