# sk164714 - Unable to connect to Gaia with console connection

## Symptoms

- * Local and non-local users are unable to connect to Gaia OS using console connection.
* Error: "`CLINFR0819 User: LOGIN denied access via CLI`".
* */var/log/messages* shows:

  ```
  
  Jan  4 19:11:13 2020 GatewayHostname clish[PID]: user logged from LOGIN 
   Jan  4 19:11:142020 GatewayHostname clish[PID]: User LOGIN logged out due to an error from CLI shell
  ```

* The default shell is clish, and changing the default shell from clish to bash resolves the issue.
