## Symptoms

- * This error message appears in SmartEvent: `"CPSEMD low disk space - disk space left <number>MB".`

New events and logs appear in SmartEvent
* The size of the remaining disk space is larger than the full */var/log/* partition.

## Cause

This is a false positive error from the legacy code.

Legacy SmartEvent (R77.30 and older) had a separate database allocated for Events, and the *cpsemd* process stored the information.

R80.x versions of SmartEvent create events as indexes. There is no separate allocated disc space for the SmartEvent database.

The error mentioned in the first symptom appears when a general */var/log/* partition reaches the encoded value of 85%.
