# sk164417 - Traffic from one VPN community not routed to another VPN community

## Symptoms

- * Traffic from one VPN community is not routed to another VPN community.
* Once the packet from the first VPN Community is decrypted on the Check Point Security Gateway. it will not encrypt again to be forwarded to another VPN community.

## Solution

In R80.40 and above Management Server you can use the encryption domain per community feature to overcome this. For more information about the feature see "Getting Started with Site-to Site VPN" \> "Configure the VPN Domain for Security Gateways" \> "Encryption Domain per Community" section of R81.10 and R81.20 Site to Site VPN Administration Guide.  

For the R82 Site to Site VPN Administration Guide the information can be found under "VPN Domain Advanced Configuration" \> "Specific VPN Domain for Gateway Communities"

In lower versions proceed as follows:

1. Refer to [sk69726](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk69726) ("To center and to other satellites through center" should be configured manually via the *$FWDIR/conf/vpn_route.conf* file).
2. Refer to the "Configuration in the VPN Configuration File" section of the [Site to Site VPN R80.30 Administration Guide](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R80.30/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R80.30_SitetoSiteVPN_AdminGuide/html_frameset.htm), for instructions on how to configure the required VPN route.
3. The policy configuration screenshot below, shows that you need to configure only 1 policy for both of the VPN communities.
