# sk164261 - Remote Access VPN traffic sometimes dropped by sim_pkt_send_drop_notification after reconnecting

## Symptoms

- * Remote Access VPN traffic is sometimes dropped by sim_pkt_send_drop_notification after reconnecting.
* The following logs are shown in zdebug log when the issue has happened.   
  ;handle_packet_do: not allowed to f2f packet for conn ;   
  ;sim_pkt_send_drop_notification: (0,-1) received drop, reason: general reason, conn: ;   
  ;sim_pkt_send_drop_notification: no track is needed for this drop - not sending a notification, conn: ;   
  ;do_packet_finish: SIMPKT_IN_DROP vsid=0, conn:;   
* The issue occurs when the user disconnects the VPN client and then reconnects.
* FTP communication for three-way hand shake is OK (port 21 is OK), but the data connection (port 20) is dropped by the firewall:   
  SYN packet of data connection was dropped by FW (do_packet_finish: SIMPKT_IN_DROP vsid=0, ...)

## Cause

The Security Gateway replies with a different IP address than the IP address that the client sent as a destination IP address.
