# sk163952 - Cannot change version from gateway object after upgrade of R77.xx to R80.xx

## Symptoms

- After upgrading from R77.30 to R80.30, an issue may appear with vpnt interfaces and will not allow you to change the version under the gateway object to R80.30, with an error related to vpnt interface:  

Error:  
*A point to point vpn tunnel has been defined by cluster interface vpntx.
Please define exactly one interface in the cluster member machine and defined its peer gateway to be .
When you are finished get 'Get Topology' again.*

## Cause

The vpnt interface's name was changed, or additional vpnt interfaces with different names were added automatically, after a major upgrade.

## Solution

1. Assign correct IP address to the correct vpnt interface.
2. If it is a cluster, assign a VIP interface to the cluster column for the gateway.
3. Install 'Get Topology' pushed policy.
4. If this does not work, re-name the vpnt interface in the VTI configuration to something different.
5. Click ok on the gateway object.
6. 'Get Topology' and push policy.
