## Symptoms

- * Reassigning Global policy on a specific domain fails with the following internal error:  
  `Global Domain Assignment Failed: An internal error has occurred.`  

* The *cpm.elg* file shows exception:   

  `
  ERROR internal.operation.OperationSvcImpl [taskExecutor-15]: caught exception "key is null" from class java.lang.IllegalArgumentException`  
  `
  ERROR coresvc.internal.GlobalDomainAssignmentSvcImpl$GlobalDomainTask [taskExecutor-15]: `  
  `
  Failed to do action: Reassign`  
  `
  java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: key is null`

## Cause

A link with an empty (NULL) source was sent.
