# sk163614 - monitord causes high CPU load in R80.10, R80.20, and R80.30

## Symptoms

- * High CPU usage on the Security gateway due to *monitord*.
* *monitord* logs show:  
  `
  "monitord[]: Time shift detected !!!"`  
  `
  "monitord[]: Posible Time shift detected !!!"`  
  `
  "monitord[]: IsItRealTimeShift:Time shift detected. exiting"`  
  `
  `
* Even though the user clears *monitord* (as per [sk93587](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk93587) and [sk102988](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk102988)), the issue persists.
