# sk163498 - Radius Authentication stops working

## Symptoms

- * Radius Authentication stops working.
* In `/var/log/messages` users see the following logs:  
  `
  [DATE TIME] GW_NAME httpauth: Error : Base64 decode failed`  
  `
  [DATE TIME] GW_NAME httpauth: pam_radius_auth: ERROR reading /etc/raddb/server, can't unobscure radius secret on line 12`
* On line 12 in the `/etc/raddb/server` file the following is displayed:  
  *IP:port secret 5*
