# sk163492 - When Endpoint Security Client Firewall blade policy set to  "Disconnect Wireless connection when connected to LAN" and LAN cable plugged in, the built-in LTE\UMTS cellular wireless network adapter not automatically disabled

## Symptoms

- When Endpoint Security Client Firewall blade policy is set to "Disconnect Wireless connection when connected to LAN" and LAN cable is plugged in, the built-in LTE\\UMTS cellular wireless network adapter is not automatically disabled.

## Cause

When the Firewall blade determines the type of network adapter, it does not consider LTE\\UMTS devices to be wireless.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:  

* Enterprise Endpoint Security E82.40 Windows Clients

**To enable the fix, after the upgrade, do these steps:**   

1. Create this DWORD registry:  
   `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Zone Labs\TreatWWANAsWirelessAdaptor`
2. Set `TreatWWANAsWirelessAdaptor` to **1** (`TreatWWANAsWirelessAdaptor=`**1**).  
   `0` (default) = disable.` 1` = enable  
   *Note -* This key is protected by self-protection (SP). Therefore, it is necessary to stop SP before any changes are applied to the registry.
3. Create this registry file in a text editor and save it with the REG extension.  
   Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00  

   `[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Zone Labs]`  
   `"TreatWWANAsWirelessAdaptor"=dword:00000001`
4. Apply the REG file.
