## Symptoms

- * The `asg_arp verifier` command fails with an "Invalid MAC address - is not a VMAC" error.

* The output of `cat /tmp/asg_local_arp_verifier.mac_check.tmp` shows:

  ```
  
  Invalid MAC address -  is not a VMAC (Line 1 in /opt/CPsuite-R80.20/fw1/conf/local.arp) 
  Invalid MAC address -  is not a VMAC (Line 2 in /opt/CPsuite-R80.20/fw1/conf/local.arp) 
  Invalid MAC address -  is not a VMAC (Line 3 in /opt/CPsuite-R80.20/fw1/conf/local.arp) 
  ```

## Cause

The "*asg_arp verifier* " script attempts to interpret comment lines in the *local.arp* file as MAC addresses instead of ignoring them
