# sk162776 - Memory consumption issue in R80.20

## Symptoms

- * Memory exhaustion occurs on standby member in ClusterXL
* On /var/log/messages following logs are seen:  
  `
  cpaq_exp_alloc: allocation failed (sz=176)`  
  `
  cpaq_cbuf_alloc_rcv_buf_info: buf_id=1756353 unable to allocate buffer info`  
  `
  cphwd_handle_send_cphwd_stats: NULL cphwd_stats_buf buffer`
* Running the Kernel memory leak procedure following [sk35496](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk35496) is showing:  
  `
  FW-1: SMEM Leak in: fwconn_copy_app_opaques_from_sync_buffer`  
  `
  FW-1: Leak in: fwconn_copy_app_opaques_from_sync_buffer`
* The GW's serves as proxy.

## Cause

Kernel memory leak.
