# sk162555 - Custom Scripts in UserDefined Alerts do not work

## Symptoms

- * Custom-created scripts configured to launch in UserDefined Alerts.
* When the trigger for UserDefined Alert occurs, script does not start.
* Scripts have been given all permissions with chmod 777

## Cause

Usually, scripts are placed in */home/admin*. Not all processes have permissions to access this folder and the files in it.
