# sk162395 - Full Disk Encryption blade is not running after installation due to invalid Master Boot Record

## Symptoms

- * Full Disk Encryption blade is not running after installation due to invalid Master Boot Record.
* MSI (s) (F0!1C) \[08:26:56:130\]: Product: Check Point Endpoint Security -- Error 27117.Encrypted volumes found. Uninstall cannot be initiated due to problems with service communication. The service isn't running but there are still encrypted partitions.
* Service 'Check Point Full Disk Encryption' is stopped.

## Cause

The disk has many nested extended volumes and the references end up with a Master Boot Record (MBR) that is not valid. Consequently, the Full Disk Encryption service is unable to find the system area.
