## Solution
### Certified Combinations of Security Appliance Models in the Same Security Group
From **R81.10**, Maestro supports different Security Appliance models in the same Security Group. This feature is called "mix and match" and provides a solution for Maestro customers who use discontinued Security Appliance (End of Sale) models. These customers can add newer supported Security Appliance models to the Security Group with the discontinued Security Appliance models.

Only specific Security Appliance models are compatible in the same Security Group under production traffic. The supported combinations are based on some hardware specifications, such as the number of CPU cores, HyperThreading, and more.
**Important Note for R81.10** **and higher** - You must disable SMO Image Cloning in the Security Group **before** you assign a Security Appliance model different from the Security Appliance models assigned to this Security Group (Known Limitation PMTR-71298).

The tables below show the supported combinations.
**Quantum Maestro supports all other combinations for migration purposes**. For example, suppose you would like to replace a 6500 Security Appliance model with a 16200 Security Appliance model: In this scenario, you can include the two Security Appliance models in the same Security Group, allow it to clone the configuration to the 16200 Security Appliance model, remove the 6500 Security Appliance model, and continue to work with the 16200 Security Appliance model only. This migration procedure should include CXL / SND cores configuration and adjustment on new Security Appliances models, which requires downtime because of the reboot. As a result, you must do the migration during a maintenance window.

**Important Notes:**
* To connect to Quantum Maestro Orchestrators, you must use the same Line Card ports on all appliances in the same Security Group (on each Site).
* **In R81.20 and higher** , it is **not** supported to configure Auto-Scaling Settings if a Maestro Security Group contains different appliance models.
