## Symptoms

- * Endpoint Security Client fails to upgrade.
* "Error 28151 - Verification of installation package failed" displayed in SmartEndpoint.
* The following error appears in `C:\Program Files\CheckPoint\Endpoint Security\Endpoint Common\Logs\cpda.log`:

  ```
  
  6ac Not ok, code: 0x80096005 (g_checkSignature)
  6ac The timestamp signature and/or certificate could not be verified or is malformed. (g_checkSignature)
  6ac Package downloaded, but verification failed. Updating UI (CDA::handleSWMgmtModuleStateDownload
  ```

## Cause

"Sectigo SHA-1 Time Stamping" certificate is missing from the Windows certificates store under **"Certificate Manager" \> "Third-Party Root Certification Authorities"**.
