## Symptoms

- After changing from DNS name to IP address in the Masters file on a centrally managed Gaia Embedded appliance, the traffic/logs continue going to the old IP address (as per the DNS name).

## Cause

There are two others file on a centrally managed appliance that are taking priority over the "Masters" file. This can cause the kind of behavior described above.

The two files are "*custom_mgmt_ip* " and "*custom_logserver_ip* ". If those files exist in */opt/fw1/conf* and are configured to the old IP address, they will take priority.

**Note:**The files are created following configuration changes in the webUI of the centrally managed Gaia Embedded appliance.
