# sk160772 - Endpoint Security Client Anti-Exploit feature does not work on Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012R2

## Symptoms

- * The Anti-Exploit feature is automatically disabled when Endpoint Security Client is installed on Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012R2.
* In *"%programdata%\\CheckPoint\\Logs\\TELog.log"* , the following message appears:   

  *\[INFO\] \[PolicyFromServerManager\] Antex will not start because of os ver*
* Different browser softwares do not seem to be running and opened when Anti-Exploit is enabled

## Solution

This is a known limitation. The Anti-Exploit feature is not supported on Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012R2.
