# sk160552 - Cannot add VLAN subinterfaces to Maestro Orchestrator Switches, "Failed to run 'tor_util', 'set_uplink_port'" error message

## Symptoms

- * Adding a VLAN interface to a Security Group results in this error message:

  "`Failed to run 'tor_util', 'set_uplink_port'`"

* Network traffic on an interface or bond with more than 42 VLANs fails.

  ARP resolution on the Security Gateway Module (SGM) level shows "`arp incomplete`" for the affected VLANs.

## Cause

There is a limitation of a maximum of 42 VLANs for each uplink port on a Maestro Orchestrator Switch.

MHO 140 and MHO 170 are affected.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:
