# sk160332 - Cannot connect to Security Management after configuring ClusterXL VIP to IP address assigned to Security Management

## Symptoms

- * Cannot connect to the Security Management after configuring the ClusterXL VIP to the IP address assigned to the Security Management after installing policy on the cluster members.  

* In the pop-up warning message "Multiple objects have the same IP address... Do you wish to keep changes anyway?" the option "Yes" was selected.

## Cause

The ClusterXL VIP for the interface through which the ClusterXL members are connected to the Security Management was configured with the IP address of the Security Management causing the communication between the ClusterXL members and th Security Management as well as between the GUI client and the Security Management to be disrupted.
