## Symptoms

- After performing an in-place upgrade from R80.X to a newer version (i.e. from R80.10 to R80.20), directories from the old version are not removed from /var/log/opt.

## Cause

Soft links are created between log files from the pre-upgrade directories and the post-upgrade directories in order for SmartLog to be able to access pre-upgrade log and index files.
