# sk158992 - SNMPv3 "authorizationError" after VSX Upgrade to R80.10 or higher

## Symptoms

- SNMP autohrization error occurs after upgrading VSX to R80.x by doing a fresh installation, then running *vsx_util reconfigure* , and adding the same Gaia clish configuration commands which worked in earlier versions. When running the 'snmpwalk' command, for example:

[Expert@gateway:0]# snmpwalk -v3 -u snmpuser -l authPriv -a SHA -A XXXXX -x AES -X XXXXX 127.0.0.1`  
`
Error in packet.`  
`
Reason: authorizationError (access denied to that object)`

## Cause

Starting R80.10 the SNMP code was improved and offers more configuration options.
