# sk158613 - Name uniqueness validation errors in CMA

## Symptoms

- * Name uniqueness validation errors in CMA.
* One or more CMA display Name uniqueness errors are displayed in the validation pane: "More than one object named XXX exists.
* Solution from sk115536 does not work since **the objects are not duplicated**. There is only one object with this name.
* Deleting the global domain and re-assigning the global policy does not remove validation errors in the CMA level.

## Cause

**Environment:** MDS has been upgraded from R77.30 to R80.X.

**Global Policy Assignment is allowed during the upgrade process.**Consequently, the problematic global objects may appear in local domains, as well. This may in turn lead to the creation of the validation incidents on the CMA level.

This situation will not occur in a regular R80.X environment because there the system prohibits Global Policy Assignment to prevent name uniqueness validation errors.

Even if these objects have been deleted from the global domain, you will still have validation incidents because at this moment, the system is not processing them during Global Policy Assignment.
