# sk157054 - Using CPUSE for image clean install fails to keep bonded interfaces

## Symptoms

- * Bonded interfaces are not kept when using CPUSE for R7X/R80.10 image clean installation.
* Appliances are re-imaged and rebooted, unable to use network to access appliance to run First Time Wizard (FTW) via HTTPS or SSH.

## Cause

When CPUSE is used to clean install an OS Version it keeps a copy of the original admin password, network interfaces and network routes.

However, for pre-R80, it does NOT keep the interfaces associated with the bond.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

**Prior to R80.20**, if you use CPUSE to re-image/clean install an appliance AND the network access is via a bond interface, make sure you have console access before starting the rebuild process.
