# sk157053 - Static route is missing from the output of 'netstat -r' command

## Symptoms

- * When an IPv4 static route is added to the Security Gateway in the following way, the added route is not seen in output of 'netstat -r' command:  
  * In Gaia Portal, go to Network Management \> IPv4 Static Routes \> Add
  * Add Destination Route
  * Enter Destination and Subnet
  * Check the 'Local Scope' option box
  * Add Gateway \> IP address
  * Save
* The added route can be seen in the Gaia portal.
* When adding the Local Scope route with a Network interface as the Gateway, the route can be seen in the output of 'netstat -r'.

## Cause

Local Scope should be configured with Gateway interface, and not with IP address as the next hop.
