# sk156752 - Cluster Member drops traffic with "dropped by fw_conn_inspect Reason: Frozen connection"

## Symptoms

- * Some traffic does not pass through the cluster.

* Kernel debug on cluster members "`(fw ctl zdebug + drop)`" shows that the cluster member drops the traffic:

  `fw_log_drop_ex: Packet proto=<Protocol_Number> <Source_IP>:<Source_Port> -> <Destination_IP>:<Dest_Port> dropped by fw_conn_inspect Reason: Frozen connection (FWCONN_KTYPE_DROP) - connection packets in this direction are dropped;`

* If SecureXL is disabled, issue does not happen.

## Cause

By default, Cluster Members use the Flush and ACK mechanism to update each other about connections they inspect. Cluster Members send (flush) the Delta Sync information to their peers and wait for these peers to acknowledge it.

While the Cluster Members wait for their peers to acknowledge the previous Delta Sync, they freeze (drop) the new packets in the relevant connections. This is to make sure the Cluster Members synchronize all information.
