# sk155415 - "No server has yet to be synchronized" When Configuring NTP on Environment with More than 512 Interfaces

## Symptoms

- Not able to sync GW with NTP server: GW\> show ntp current No server has yet to be synchronized

## Cause

NTP is not supported when using more than 512 IPs / Interfaces.

This is due to a known limitation with Red Hat documented in :

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=661934

The ntpd daemon could terminate unexpectedly with a segmentation fault on a machine with more than 512 local IP addresses. This happened because of a limit set for scanning. With this update, the limit scan has been changed to scan to the maximum number of interfaces and the ntpd daemon no longer crashes in such circumstances.
