## Solution

The **CPLogFilePrint utility** was added in R80.10 as part of Gaia OS. This utility prints the Check Point Security logs in text format (The historical command to do this, *fw log* , does not contain information that are included in current log files.)

**Usage:**

Specify the log file you wish to see. For example, to look at the current active log file:

`[Expert@mgmt:0]# `**CPLogFilePrint $FWDIR/log/fw.log**

Running CPLogFilePrint without arguments will give you usage for other parameters you can use.

**Notes:**

* Outside of debugging issues with logging, use of this tool is not supported.
* The output of this tool is subject to change between versions.
