# sk151897 - Anti-Malware Blade not running due to Third Party Environment Variable

## Symptoms

- * Anti-malware is not running. No other blades seem to have an issue.
* *AntiMalwareBlade.log* shows the following errors:

  2019-04-12 13:53:08 \[\] t:0x1600 \[f:\\ckp\\src\\ep_antimalware\\e80_92\\src\\epam_svc\\epamservice.cpp\](680) EpamService \[ERROR\] Failed creating actor: AntiMalware.EpamDafDaAdaptor.DafDaProxy Error: c46500051

* When a *set* command is run on the client machine from the Windows Command Line, the "Path=" section shows a UNC listed in the system paths.

## Cause

Adding network paths to system is not supported by Windows. According to <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978856>, it can stop the working of other services as well.

In the Cause section of the article, it states:

"A system path that contains a UNC path may cause severe system problems and severe software problems. Therefore, a system path that contains a UNC path is unsupported."
