# sk151373 - Some emulated files have a Threat Emulation verdict of benign although the action is prevent, when Threat Extraction is enabled

## Symptoms

- * Threat Emulation action is Prevent, although the Verdict is Benign. This may cause benign files to be blocked:

* In some scenarios, if a failure occurs in Threat Extraction, the files are not received.   
  Instead, the below message appears:  
  "Malicious email attachment 'X' removed by Check Point."  
  Threat Extraction Error:

* If Threat Extraction is enabled, files are received as ".cleaned.x" attachments.

## Cause

'Embedded Images' are enabled in the Threat Extraction profile, and the MTA updates the Threat Emulation Log. This could result in a prevent action's overriding the original Threat Emulation decision of Benign.
