# sk149772 - "psql.bin: could not connect to server: No such file or directory" error during R80.XX pre-upgrade verification

## Symptoms

- When executing the `mds_setup.sh` script from the Gaia R80.20 Install ISO to run the pre-upgrade verification process on Multi-Domain Management, the following errors are displayed:

psql.bin: could not connect to server: No such file or directory
    Is the server running locally and accepting
    connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"?

```

## Cause

The CPM server is stopped (the 'mdsstop' command may have been issued before running the pre-upgrade verifier)
