# sk149553 - "Error 27107. Driver already running, maybe an old installation exists. The FDE driver is already installed and running." error message  when trying to install Endpoint Security Client

## Symptoms

- When trying to re-install Endpoint Security Client on a machine that was decrypted and client was removed, the following error message appears during the installation process:   
**"Error 27107. Driver already running, maybe an old installation exists. The FDE driver is already installed and running."**

## Cause

Some of the Full Disk Encryption drivers were not removed correctly during the Endpoint Security Client uninstall process and are still running. This causes the re-install process to fail.
