# sk149232 - Endpoint Security VPN client gets disconnected from the VPN approximately every 20 minutes

## Symptoms

- The client can connect to the VPN Gateway and everything works well for a short time until the VPN tunnel is suddenly disconnected.   
**Notes** :

* The duration can vary but usually the disconnect happens after approximately 20 minutes.
* The Office Mode IP is configured to be assigned via DHCP in the VPN Gateway's Office Mode page.

## Cause

When the client initially connects to the VPN, it negotiates an Office Mode lease with the VPN Gateway for a time which is significantly shorter in duration than the client's re-authentication timer.
