To see the current Management High Availability status, run these commands:

`cpstat mg`

`Product Name: Check Point Security Management Server`

`Major version: 6`

`Minor version: 0`

`Build number: 991140036`

`Is started: 1`

**`Active status: `standby**

`Status: OK`

To check if the local machine is the primary or the secondary Security Management Server, run:

`grep Primary $CPDIR//registry/HKLM_registry.data`

`:Primary ("[4]1") means this is the primary`

`:Primary ("[4]0") means this is the secondary`
