# sk147593 - QoS Policy installation fails with error "A network interface name does not match the name assigned to the interface by the operating system"

## Symptoms

- "`A network interface name does not match the name assigned to the interface by the operating system`" error on QoS Policy installation failure.

## Cause

1.Cache remained on Security Gateways under *$FWDIR/state/__tmp/FG1/* folder.  

2.Network interface configuration was changed in Gaia portal or CLISH and the Gateway or Cluster object were not updated properly on the management database,
