# sk147535 - Cannot deploy an SMB device via Zero Touch using a non-DHCP Internet connection

## Symptoms

- If the WAN IP address of the Security Gateway is assigned by DHCP (by default), Zero Touch deployment succeeds. However, if the Internet connection is other than DHCP and a special autoconf.clish script is used, deployment fails.

## Cause

The connection took too long to establish. As a result, by the time the Security Gateway managed to connect to the Internet, it never tried to reach the ZT server.
