# sk146912 - Remote Access users' identities not propagated to Identity Awareness blade

## Symptoms

- * Remote Access users' identities are not propagated to Identity Awareness blade but can authenticate successfully.
* The connected user does not receive configured Identity Role.
* The `vpnd.elg` file shows that the relevant user cannot be found in cache, and therefore cannot be sent to *PEPD* :

## Cause

Cache for users is disabled globally. As a result, the *vpnd* process cannot forward connected user to *PEPD*.
