# sk143292 - Manual edit of Certificate expiration of user does not take affect

## Symptoms

- When "initiating" a user certificate with the ICA Management tool, the certificate expiration date is taken from "Management Tool user certificate validity period", and not from the "expiration date" configured in the "create certificates" tab for the certificate.  
In case of "generate" it works ok.
