# sk143092 - dhcpd daemon crashes with "pm[XXX]: Restarted /usr/sbin/dhcpd[YYY], count=ZZZ" message

## Symptoms

- dhcpd daemon keep restarting approximately every 10 minutes with "" message in `/var/log/messages` file.

## Cause

The dhcpd daemon is not running from the *dhcpd.conf* file:   
*\[Expert@Hostname:0\]# ps -ef \| grep dhcpd*   
*admin 647 12963 0 16:46 pts/2 00:00:00 grep dhcpd*   
*admin 26472 21759 0 14:20 pts/5 00:00:00 grep dhcpd*   
*admin 31345 1 0 16:08 ? 00:00:00 /usr/sbin/dhcpd*
